Our little town of Kaaawa experienced severe flooding on March 2, 2006 which created several land slides and road closures.  Many of the houses in the neighborhood were flooded.  Fortunately, our house is about 2 feet off the ground so we did not have any damage.  We were trapped & unable to get to work due to the flooding & road closures. There were many waterfalls & land slides on the mountains behind our house  The ocean was dark brown for a week due to all of the run off.  Here are some photos.
